COVID-19

With the gradual re-opening of our province, FIRST AID MEDIC has restarted teaching courses for essential workers and those who are required by law to have training.  If you have any questions regarding our training or our COVID-19 operational plan, please feel free to contact us.

Rest assured, we are using enhanced cleaning of all equipment used and participants very rarely shared any equipment in our courses even pre-COVID; we are maximizing social distancing as recommended by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Facial covering or a face mask will be required to enter our training area and we encourage you to bring your own "community mask".  Masks may be required throughout the course.

Alcohol-based hand sanitizer (70% or higher concentration) will be readily available throughout all courses as well as hot water and soap in washroom.  Hand washing/sanitizing and covering your mouth and nose is the best means of preventing the spread of a respiratory illness.

Before attending, you will be required to answer the health-related questions below as well as when you arrive for the course and submit to a non-contact body temperature measurement.  If you answer yes to any two questions, you will not be permitted to attend the course and may be required by law to self-isolate or self-monitor.  If in doubt, contact us BEFORE coming.  For the safety of all, PLEASE DO NOT come to a course if you think you may be sick.

Did you know... as of February 18, 2021, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada will require the use of feedback devices in all CPR courses... also, online only courses do not meet level C requirements.

First Aid Medic has been using feedback devices since March 2019.
